This piece has none of the challenging 'tango' enigma of Astor Piazzolla, where so often the weave is a doleful and painful path conjuring angst and passion gripping the listener, not here though. Maybe that's for another day. This Tango is bright, cheery and charms the listener in a way the Latin guitar does so well. They say it takes two to tango, and there are times here when it sounds like two or three players in amongst the tangle of tango riffery, so I guess that's just right then.
